For this project, my client is in need of a 16 page exhibition catalogue. Content provided by MoCP. We were required to use 10 images of the artwork provided, include captions containing image details available, artist, title, size, medium. Additionally, I was required one page for press release and one page for cv. MoCP lockup was also required.
The artwork provided are those of Terry Evan’s Petcoke vs. Grassroots Exhibit in Chicago, Illinois. The content of the photos played a meaning in politics, environment, and community; all of which needed to be reflected.
I used a clean, sans-serif typeface, Raleway, to portray the current, modern, issues being addressed in the exhibit.Additionally, large, full-bleed images were used to evoke emotion. The dramatic, dark, cinematographic shots are successfully able to highlight details portray the social and environmental impacts of Petroleum Coke (PetCoke).
